Compliance Engineer (Suzhou)

Responsibilities:

1.Ensure that Sullair’s products are designed to comply with applicable codes and regulations of the targeted markets.

2.Ensure that all products that require agency certifications are certified on time and on budget

3.Ensure that internal customers receive product compliance training necessary to be effective at their current roles.

4.Ensure that Engineering Change Orders (ECO) are reviewed to maintain product compliance.

5.Oversee all product certification audits and shall work with other departments to ensure audit success and addresses all audit related findings in a timely manner.

6.Ensure that the entity is kept abreast of potential changes in regulations and new regulations that impact Sullair products.

7.Ensure that internal and external customers’ product compliance questions are addressed in a timely manner

8.Conduct product risk analysis.

9.Work with engineering, manufacturing and quality engineers to conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standard work.

10.Conduct or direct the internal investigation of product compliance issues; identify compliance issues that require follow-up or further investigation.

11.Serve as a point of contact for communication with management to seek clarification on issues or report irregularities.

12.Provide sales support during customer meetings and visits when required.

13.Provide technical writing and review of data or reports that will be incorporated into regulatory submissions to assure rigor, accuracy and clarity.

14.Review product promotional materials, labeling, specification sheets or test methods for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

15.File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.

16.Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required.

17.Participate in Global Product Compliance Continuous Improvement initiatives.

18.Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering; Master’s Degree a plus.Minimum of 7-10 years of regulatory compliance experience preferred.

19.Language: Must be fluent in both Spoken English and Mandarin.

Requirements:

1.Ability to understand Portable and Stationary operating systems.

2.Strong blueprint and P&I reading capabilities.

3.In-depth knowledge of compressor and other rotating equipment and their subsystems a plus.

4.In depth knowledge of GB standards for air compressors.

5.Leadership skills to guide and train associates on Government regulatory policies and procedures.

6.Must have a commercial appreciation with the ability to understand the importance of completing projects on time and to budget.

7.Ability to compose accurate technical and general business documentation to a consistently high level.

8.International experience a plus.

9.Experience on codes and standards development committees a plus.

10.Experience as an Expert Witness a plus.
