Leading a Sustainable Future

Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems (HIES) was established in April 2002 as a company integrating service, engineering, sales, and manufacturing divisions for industrial equipment within the Hitachi Group. April 1, 2022 marked our 20th anniversary, and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our customers, channel partners, partner company, and local communities for their tremendous support. Furthermore, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the employees of the HIES Group for their efforts, support and dedication to deliver our products and services.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we renewed our tagline to “Leading a Sustainable Future” to express our vision. It has two meanings. The first is our commitment to help create a decarbonized society from the perspective of global environmental sustainability. The second is to achieve a sustainable future for HIES through continued growth and increase of our corporate value over the long term.

To realize this vision, we will focus on two areas: ‘Green’ and ‘Digital.’ First, our focus on ‘Green’ means we aim to contribute to the carbon neutrality for our customers and society by providing Green products that have high efficiency and low CO2 emissions throughout their lifecycle. We also intend to lead the transition to a circular economy by expanding the HIES 5Rs (Remanufacturing, Rebuild, Repair, Reuse, Recycle). Secondly, by strengthening ‘Digital,’ we are committed to further improving customers’ business operations, and delivering new value. We intend to achieve this by utilizing digital data obtained from Connected Products, as well as other data we access in the process of working together with our customers, such as through our maintenance services.

As the global business environment continues to change rapidly, HIES will leverage our strong products, OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology), and we will help create digital connections across boundaries between workplace and management, and between companies, contributing to Total Seamless Solutions that give rise to new value. Our aim is to achieve sustainable growth by contributing to Hitachi’s Social Innovation by co-creating with our customers and partners, and responding flexibly to the rapid changes around the world.
